Where In The World Are You?

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

People start blogging for a myriad of reasons. Good reasons. I don’t know about all bloggers, but I have heard many say they are surprised when people actually start reading it. I completely relate. No one has been more shocked than I am. It is humbling.

It also shows the power of God to use different ways, different people to encourage us, or even just entertain us. The fact that anyone other than my husband and four best girlfriends read my blog is clearly God’s Hand. Smile. I’m grateful.

One of the funnest discoveries I have had is where so many people are reading from. It makes me giddy! I love how technology has made the world a little smaller, and allowed us to make new friends we may have never known otherwise. My website has a statistical tracker thing (Yes, I said thing, I have never claimed to be tech savvy) that allows me to see how many people are reading, how long they are spending each time, and where they live. The location part is a blast for me.

Here are a few places the statistics have shown readers live:

  • United States (every state but South Dakota…I need to find a friend there!)
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • South Africa
  • Phillippines
  • India
  • Romania
  • Netherlands
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Indonesia
  • Slovenia
  • Spain
  • Lithuania
  • Malaysia
  • Mexico
  • Brazil
  • Lebanon

Those are the top twenty in order, meaning they have the most readers. Other places that I had some visits from are Norway, Cyprus, Singapore, France, Ireland, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, and many more to list. Some of the rest appeared they came across my website by accident because they didn’t stay long. Oops. Smile. But how exciting for me to even see the countries listed. Seriously, this is so cool. I know, I am over 30, so shouldn’t say cool. But it is. Cool. Very cool.

I have been looking at maps so I can learn more of the exact location where you may be. For example, in South Africa there are several readers in Gauteng and Western Cape. I just had to know exactly where that is. I love it.

I would love to hear where you are. If you will leave a comment where in the world you are, I will put you in a drawing for a copy of my book Bedtime Thoughts for the Christian Mom. I would love to give away 3 free books. To leave a comment, click on the title of the blog, and leave your comment at the bottom.

I can’t wait to hear where you are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by.

And just in case this is your only visit, Jesus LOVES YOU and has a plan specific for YOU!
